too much, part 1 *blink* this has been the most interesting weekend in...awhile. and i didn't even realize all the interestingness that had accumulated until tonight. I don't know why i'm starting with this, but i am. i built a bookcase yesterday. a huge massive bookcase. This is a *big* thing. i've needed a bookcase for a *long* time, and this frees up a *lot* of shelf space in my room. I love building things. and i love seeing all my books in one place. I also put a bunch of my poems into zine format on actual paper...and put it in my bookcase. I might photocopy and distribute it if anyone really wanted one. there's a few things from poetry class at school...i was thinking of giving Ms. Proctor a copy, but it feels almost pretentious...i don't know. I have to read one of my poems at this arts showcase at my school on Tuesday. I decided to read "Big Test Tomorrow", which i think is my favourite poem tha i've written. I censored some stuff in it to make it appropriate for chapel (ack, yes, but it had to be done) and took out the part about Jaimie...i don't really want to take the risk of people in my school starting rumors of any sort. I'm already nervous about reading it. Today i called Beth during her radio broadcast...she played Lovers In A Dangerous Time and dedicated it to me! *glee!* Gordondon called to help me study for my math exam on Tuesday. There was one question involving shooting deers that was absolutely kicking my ass. Gordondon was very patient with me, and we finally figured out the problem. I don't know how i could possibly show him my appreciation for this. i've never known anyone who would spend an hour helping me with an easy math problem and not get frustrated. Gordondon is awesome. there's more about today, but it's kind of another tangent of thought, so i'm gonna put it in another entry. |
